Comcast HD DVR Outputs?

  • Jul. 12th, 2009 at 10:23 AM
science good
Thanks to a friend I have an HD TV now. It only has component inputs. According to the less than helpful customer service rep at Comcast I still don't know if their HD DVR boxes have component outputs. The CSR would say they only had HDMI, but didn't understand any question I asked him.

Does anyone have a Comcast HD DVR box? Does it truly only have HDMI output, or is there a component output on there too?

i've no idea, but you could likely pick up a hdmi-to-component adapter out there somewhere.

Thanks, but not worth the hassle. I wouldn't gain that much quality.

Tim says it has both but I didn't look.

Motorola box from Comcast.
Component cable connected from that to my HD TV, so I can safely say yes it does, and all you need is the cables.

Thanks! That's good to know about the cables. I don't have a free set right now.
