us

[info]hollyqueen and I have been working long and hard on fixing our finances and getting out of debt. We have too many credit cards and haven’t really been responsible with our money. Well last November that ended and together we’ve made changes to how we live, developed a plan of action and, most importantly, followed through with that plan. I’m excited that we’ve paid off our first card. Not only that but we kept on budget so that we have our fun money. It’s been a long time since the two of us were able to get away together and just relax.

The trick now is to figure out where we want to go. We were thinking of going to Langley because we’ve never been and their Chamber of Commerce says they have a lot of book stores. I’m not set on Langley though. What I would really like to find is a remote place with a few good shops to browse and food to eat. Any recommendations?

ahead full

Now that I have some help getting the stuff out of storage that will save $90/month. The next step, which I just finished was to cancel my subscription to WoW.

This message is being sent to confirm that all credit card information has been removed from the World of Warcraft account bleber, effectively cancelling its recurring subscription as of October 7, 2008 12:48 AM UTC. The account will not bill or renew any further unless new payment information (credit card or game card) is manually entered in.

I will get out of this hole. I will!

Money Management Software?

I've used Microsoft Money and Quicken in the past but I haven't used either for a very long time. I need to get a view of my finances so I can get things under control. Are these both still good products to use? Is there something better? Why choose one over the other?

Thanks! BTW: If you haven't noticed more posting about things of substance and what's going on with me. It helps to get the words out and motivate me to become a better person.

According to the IRS ALL of my option excercises in 2004 were without any cost to me. So I understated my income by $30,000 and now owe them $16,004 in overdue taxes and penalties. I don't but it's a pain in the ass dealing with them. I know because of past experiences with my ex-wife and her sending them after me for her tax debts.

And 2006 was going so well...

Oh and Father's Day can just fuck off too as far as I care.
